In fact, Sylvan Dale has re-opened for business since the 2013 Floods—open "to share the beauty of Sylvan Dale with others,” as the Mission Statement says—since June 1, 2014, thanks to the heroic efforts of our staff, friends, Larimer County, and the City of Loveland, not to mention a host of volunteer organizations.
Since that time we have hosted a number of weddings at our new Wedding site “Heart Song,” lots of great folks from around the country for Dude Ranch Vacations, and a number of Business Retreats. We hosted the Audubon’s Christmas Bird Count on January 1st and 600 students from Loveland and Fort Collins for their Spring and Fall Outdoor Education Programs. The dining room was full for the Thanksgiving Feast as well as sold out accommodations for “More than Just Pumpkin Pie”, our 3-night mini vacation package. We closed the year with Holiday Parties and returning and first-time friends for our holiday tradition, “Candlelight and Carols,” with the Loveland Choral Society.
